DynCycle

Circularity of Dyneema Composite

Summary

The objective in the DynCycle project  was to investigate how cutting waste and end-of-life products can be reused. Dyneema has supplied material for this. This material is a semi-finished product in the form of layers of uni-directional Dyneema fibers that are stacked alternately at 0° and 90° and that are interconnected with a rubber-like (craton) binder. This material is often used in applications where flexible but tear-resistant cloth is required, such as tent cloth, backpacks and survival clothing.
