Ir. Ilse ten Bruggencate obtained her BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering and Technical Business Management at the University of Applied Science of Saxion, where she completed her studies in 2019 with a research project on the recycling of thermoplastic composites.

In the same year, she joined the ThermoPlastic composite Application Center (TPAC) part of Saxion University of Applied Sciences as a process engineer. While working at TPAC, she completed her MSC degree in Polymer Engineering in 2025.

In her current role, she specialises in composite recycling projects, ranging from high‑quality aerospace production waste to post‑consumer waste streams, contributing to the development of circular solutions for thermoplastic composites.
