Willem van Dijk studied at the University of Twente where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Creative Technology.

Since 2025 van Dijk has been working as a research engineer at the ThermoPlastic composite Application Center (TPAC). In this role, he develops experimental setups to support the research of his colleagues and works on the automation and digital integration of various thermoplastic composite manufacturing methods.
