Daan van der Zalm studied Technician Engineering at ROC van Twente in Hengelo. During the third and fourth year of his studies, he completed his internship and final graduation assignment at TPAC. Following his graduation, Daan officially joined TPAC as an employee in 2024.

Currently, Daan works as a Mechatronics Engineer at TPAC. His diverse role spans across maintenance, machine modifications for specific projects and retrofitting of machines. Additionally, he is actively involved in research and development (R&D), where he designs and builds innovative custom solutions for specific projects.

To further expand his expertise, he combined his work with a part time Associate Degree in Industrial Automation and Robotics, starting September 2025.
