The vast amount of plastic waste is a worldwide problem. However, one of the advantages of thermoplastics in comparison to thermoset materials is their recyclability. Due to industrial mixing of polymers and contaminations during use the mechanical properties of recyclates generally do not meet virgin material properties.

Development of recycling routes for (fiber reinforced) post-consumer and post-industrial thermoplastic waste
